UHave2Go! was founded and created by Fernando (me), an architectural designer, whose traveling experiences and passion for photography came together to start a blog about his travels. At the age of 21, 8 weeks traveling alone around South America changed my life. Then I understood even more the need for constant exploration in my life.
After finishing architecture school and in search for more adventures, I moved to Los Angeles, where I still practice architecture, serial entrepreneurship, photography and painting.
At age 25 three weeks in Asia completed what was enough material and motivation to do something with this passion. During a trip to Colombia in March of 2007 with not much to do one night and with my laptop in hand, a brainstorming session for a blog about something I loved, ended up - a couple of hours later - becoming the begining of UHave2Go!
Back then, using Wordpress, I built a blog and posted a dozen photos of my trips and sent the link to some friends. There was good feedback. After a few months, a few more photos and descriptions added, I decided to add more photos from other friends to the blog. Manually, I would get photos via e-mail, edit the photos, do the research, write some text and post it to the blog - not before creating a little profile for that person - and their smiley face (that I would steal from some photo in their personal websites) in one side of the page.
After 20 members, and many photographs (and many many hours of work), I decided to try and make the site better by making this process automatic. Since then, I've been working on getting better content and better photos from friends and then new friends!, and now from everyone who shares with me this passion for traveling, for photography and for people around the World. |
